What if My Shipment Arrives Damaged?

In the rare situation that you experience damage in your shipment, please be sure to note it on the delivery paperwork you sign and contact us as soon as possible.

Visible damage. In this case packaging can be damaged that may or may not cause damage of the order inside. In such cases, note this information on delivery slip. This is important to do even if your ordered items are small, and you may think that they are fine. Please inspect the packaging of the order no matter driver is in hurry or not. In cause of severe damage of packaging, refuse the shipment from the freight company. In case of damage, contact us via phone number +1-877-301-8702 or email [email protected]. Claims on visible damage can be accepted during first 72 hours after delivery and require your cooperation in providing high quality photos and providing access to possible inspection by the carrier.

If the carton is obviously severely damaged, please refuse the shipment from the freight company. We will arrange for a replacement or replacement parts to be rushed out. We will take the quickest route to remedy the situation. In the event a replacement is delivered to you before original shipment is returned, you are responsible for cooperating with the return of the item. Failure to return the damaged item will cause us to charge your credit card for the non-returned item.

Concealed damage. If the packaging was intact, but after removing packaging it was realised that the goods are damaged or have manufacturer defects. Such damage type is of increased urgent nature, as it much harder to proof that damage was received during transit. Concealed damage claims can be reported during the first 48 hours with no exceptions.

Please cooperate. Refusal to cooperate in providing necessary information, your claim will be voided. We will arrange the necessary repair, damaged parts replacement to remedy the situation. We do not pick-up damaged items for a full refund with no exceptions. If you will refuse repair/replacement, return policy will be applied.

Save the packaging. Discarding the packaging will immediately void the claim.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

If we are able to cancel your order before it is produced and/or shipped, there is not a charge for the cancellation. If the product has been shipped, you will be responsible for all inbound and outbound shipping charges and 20% restocking fee. These charges will be deducted from your refund.

Cancellations or returns must be authorized in advance.

Custom order items are not subject for cancelation policy.

What is the Return Policy?

Generally on all items the return policy is that you are responsible for round trip freight if the furniture has already been shipped/produced. Please contact us and we will assess your situation. A 20% re-stocking fee is also deducted from your refund. On Free Shipping items the shipping charges are included in the price but you will still be charged for round trip shipping costs incurred by NY Furniture. Please be careful when ordering your furniture and let us know if we can be of assistance in selecting the right furniture for your situation. Always measure the space you are placing the furniture. Sorry we cannot accept returns for assembled merchandise. Any returns must be in their original packaging. Items will not be authorized for return after 30 days from the delivery date. Your credit card will be refunded once the manufacturer receives the returned item.
